The boundaries of University Park are: W. Pearl Street (North), Rose Street (East), John R. Lynch Street (South), and Dalton Street (West).

The boundaries of Washington Addition are: Utica Street/Morehouse Street (North), University Boulevard (East), Highway 80 (South), and Hattiesburg Street (West).

The boundaries of Poindexter Park Historic District are: Robinson Road (North), Deer Park Street (East), Dr. Robert Smith, Sr. Parkway (South), and Rose Street (West).

The sidewalk that connects St. Charles Avenue to Robinson Street is now clean and clear, and students have better access to and from school thanks to the volunteer work of Jackson residents and local leaders and businesses.

The University will use this plan for historic preservation and revitalization efforts for JSU, West Jackson, and the City of Jackson.

Sheka Epps is a platform hairstylist and community activist from North Jackson. Since becoming a community leader, Epps has played an instrumental role in building connections between residents in the neighborhood.

Colonial Heights West, located in West Jackson on the Capitol Street corridor across from the Jackson Zoo and Livingston Park, is working to strengthen its neighborhood by building relationships with city leaders and community organizations. These efforts are focused on accessing necessary resources and information to improve the area.

Ward 5 Day is Saturday, July 20 at Livingston Park at the Jackson Zoo from 11 am to 3 pm. Its purpose is for community members to engage with elected officials, community leaders, and local businesses.
