JAN Board Member Feature: Jamie Rasberry

Jamie Rasberry, JAN Ward 1 Representative

Jamie Rasberry, a native of Kosciusko, MS, is a JAN Ward 1 representative and the director of policy and strategic partnerships with the Mississippi Alliance of Nonprofits and Philanthropy. She also serves on the board of the Unite Mississippi Foundation, Mississippi Christian Living Magazine, CASA of Hinds County, and the Mississippi Afterschool Network. She has served in previous board leadership roles with Midtown Public Charter School, the Metro YMCA, and the Devoted Dreamers Foundation. 

Rasberry is a graduate of Belhaven University and Mississippi State University. She is also a W.K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network alumni, a graduate of Leadership Greater Jackson and Leadership Mississippi, and the Change Collective as part of Civic Nations national leadership program. With a background in the private healthcare sector, Rasberry has overseen corporate giving, national strategic partnerships, colleague engagement and activism, and government relations. Over the last 20 years, she has invested in and focused on health and wellness, social justice, community development, and youth leadership organizations around the Jackson-Metro area. 

Rasberry is passionate about Jackson and wants to be a part of all the good things that are taking place that help the city grow and thrive, and being a part of JAN will allow her to be an advocate and champion for the residents of Ward 1 to connect and engage in the wonderful things happening in Jackson. “I believe the light of Jackson will shine again, and even brighter than it ever has,” she said.

Rasberry is one of Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 50 Distinguished Leading Women in Business and a Goodwill Industries Volunteer Salute honoree. Above all, she is the mother to a beautiful, vibrant, and energetic six-year-old.
